Imagination and Visualization

Quiet times, quiet minds, allow your intuition to work at whatever you would like to accomplish.

I had a fantastic opportunity to travel to northwest Arizona, to a beautiful rural location with a special friend. The beautiful access to the mountainous terrain, the quiet landscape (no big trucks or heavy traffic), and the stillness of nature allowed me quiet introspection. A time to use imagination and visualization. As defined and emphasized in Silva Method, imagination is the action of forming new ideas. Visualization is the mental images of real-world experiences.

This fantastic trip/vacation reminded me of the importance of taking time to use imagination and visualization. Sitting in a room with a great view of the beautiful mountains and the awe of nature allowed me to imagine myself sitting on the mountains, praying and meditating on ideal situations.

This opportunity brought me back to all the things I had learned in the Silva Method classes I had taken. I calmed my mind with the relaxation technique of closing my eyes and doing a count down from 10 to 1. I recalled my ideal place of relaxation and was able to visualize my desires, beliefs, and expectations.

Since my first Silva Method class over 50 years ago I have had many accomplishments and continue to live a life of my own design. One of my biggest desires is to assist others to learn and practice the exercises and techniques to improve every area of their lives.
